Waunarlwydd RFC Support Bone Cancer Research Trust for 2019/20

Waunarlwydd RFC are extremely proud to officially support and work with Bone Cancer Research Trust for the new season. The Bone Cancer Research Trust work hand in hand with the Rhodri Jones Memorial Appeal, which is a fantastic cause very close to our hearts at the club.

To show our support, the Bone Cancer Research logo is prominently displayed on the sleeve of our brand new 1st XV and Athletic jerseys, which will be proudly worn by the players at home and away fixtures throughout the season.

We will also be supporting one of our members, who is very well known for his charity activities, in his latest fundraising challenge! Lee Morris has done multiple extreme endurance challenges in the past to help raise funds for Bone Cancer Research. His latest challenge will see him attempt to run from Roseland Road to the opposition ground on the day of each 1st XV away fixture. For example, this Saturday 14th September will see him make the 4 mile stroll to Dunvant RFC. However, far tougher days lie ahead such as the 30 plus mile run to Tondu in October. Support runners are very much encouraged to help Lee but also support the team on the pitch when you arrive!
